What Is Burnout?

Burnout is not some cop-out excuse for why Joe in accounting isn’t getting ish done.

It is an actual condition.

Well, technically an “occupational phenomenon.”

And if you’ve landed on this page, odds are pretty good you have it…or are on your way there.

Burnout is “a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress.” It happens when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands.

You’re exhausted, totally disengaged, and struggling to give two craps while still trying to hold it all together, both at work and at home.

Something has to give, and you’re worried it’s gonna be you.
